WIC clinics are run by your state or local health agency, not by a single national office, so hours, walk-in policies, and appointment systems vary from one location to the next. Most clinics require an appointment for your initial certification, though some also offer walk-in hours for quick needs like picking up your card or a nutrition check-in. Call ahead before you go, especially for a first visit — clinics can confirm what to bring, whether they offer telehealth appointments, and whether they're currently accepting new applicants.
